5 THINGS TO KNOW:

1. THE LATEST
• The Lions enter the game 3-0 in the Ivy League for the first time. Prior to this season, Columbia's most wins to start an Ivy season was two, which came in 2010, 2005 and 2003. Columbia's 12-3 record through 15 games stands alone as its best in the program's Div. I era (1987-88).

• Columbia raced out to a 25-1 lead en route to defeating Cornell, 56-47, Thursday night in New York. The Lions started the game 8-for-12 from the field and 3-for-3 from the perimeter to take a 24-point lead with 2:32 left in the first quarter. Cornell punched back with a 17-3 second quarter, but the Lions never surrendered the lead. Kitty Henderson posted a career-high 18 points while Kaitlyn Davis had a career-high 18 rebounds. 2. CORNELL POST-GAME NOTES
Kaitlyn Davis' 18 rebounds were the most by a Lion since Camille Zimmerman had 24 against Brown on Feb. 10, 2018.
• Davis matched her career-high in assists (5), which also came against Cornell on Jan. 25, 2020.
• Cornell's 46 points were the fewest by a Columbia opponent since they defeated NJIT, 99-43, on Dec. 21, 2019. It was the fewest by an Ivy opponent since a 59-43 win over Harvard on Feb. 13, 2015.
• Thursday marked the third time this season Columbia held the opponent to less than 30 percent shooting.
• The Lions tallied 50+ rebounds for the second game in a row.
• Columbia's 30 free throw attempts matched its season-high (Davidson).
• It was the first time Columbia shot below 30 percent (.286) and won since Jan. 12, 2015 against NJIT (45-38).
Carly Rivera recorded her first collegiate block.

3. HSU-IN FOR PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Abbey Hsu was named the Ivy League Women's Basketball Player of the Week following a 21-point effort over the weekend at Harvard. She was on fire in the Lions' 72-64 victory over the Crimson, hitting 8-of-11 (.727) from the floor and 5-of-7 (.714) from 3-point land on her way to her 10th career 20-point performance. Hsu was a perfect 5-for-5 from the field and 4-for-4 from the perimeter in the first half. The sophomore guard ended the game with season-highs of nine rebounds and two blocks while also adding three assists and a steal.

4. CLIMBING THE 3-POINT CHARTS
Abbey Hsu enters the game with 118 made 3-pointers in her career, which ties for seventh in Columbia women's basketball history. She is tied with Susan Kern (2001-05) for seventh, one behind Sue Altman (2002-05) for sixth and two behind Megan O'Neill (1999-03) for fifth. The career record is 166, which belongs to Melissa Shafer (2008-12).

5. SCOUTING BROWN
• Brown (5-11, 0-4 Ivy) is still in search of its first Ivy win. The Bears lost each of their first three Ivy games by 29 points or more, but responded this past Monday when they nearly took down Yale, 69-67. Freshman Isabella Mauricio led the Bears with a game-high 23 points (8-14 FG, 5-9 3-PT) and had six of the team's 19 assists on the afternoon. Mauricio is the team's leading scorer at 13.3 points per game on her rookie campaign. Her scoring average is top 10 in the Ivy League. Meanwhile, she shoots 35.7 percent from three to rank top five in the Ivies. Kyla Jones also averages double figure scoring at 11.0 points and is the league leader in steals with 38 to this point. Mya Murray ranks No. 3 in the Ivies with 25 blocks.

• Columbia has won five straight in the series against Brown, including each of the last three matchups at the Pizzitola Sports Center. Brown leads the all-time series, 42-24. This will be the first matchup between Columbia head coach Megan Griffith and first-year Brown head coach Monique LeBlanc. LeBlanc was previously the head coach for nine seasons at Merrimack College, leading them through the transition from Div. II to Div. I.
