Keovongmanysar Promoted to Women's Soccer Associate Head Coach

Bartholomew elevates longtime assistant
NEW YORK – Columbia women's soccer head coach Tracey Bartholomew announced the promotion of Amphone Keovongmanysar to associate head coach on Monday. In his ninth year with the Lions, Keovongmanysar and Bartholomew have coached together for two decades, first joining forces at nearby LIU Brooklyn in 2000.
"I am beyond thrilled to announce that Amphone is being promoted to Associate Head Coach," said Bartholomew. "Amphone possesses outstanding soccer knowledge, passion for the game and educating players at all levels. His core values have been integral to building a championship culture and mindset at Columbia. He has been our lead recruiting coordinator, a crucial part of a collaborative team that has worked hard to bring in the best players on the field and off, that possess a winning mindset and outstanding character.
"Additionally, Amphone also helps manage our student-athletes' experience, from academics in the classroom to mental health and well-being. He is a world-class technology guru for our program and has aided in efforts to support Columbia Athletics in many ways. He is selfless, loyal, and cares deeply about the student-athlete experience, our program, our alumni, and the families that join us. He is a leader in the community and offers hours of free coaching and volunteer work to help those in need. It is an honor to have coached with him for over 20 years and I am beyond ready for the future."

Since arriving in Morningside Heights, Keovongmanysar has assisted Bartholomew in leading the Lions to unprecedented success. From 2016-2019, Columbia recorded a historic four-straight winning Ivy League records. Additionally, 30 student-athletes have garnered All-Ivy accolades, including the program's first Ivy League Defensive Player of the Year (Natalie Ambrose, 2017).
Following the 2021 campaign, Ally Clark and Nata Ramirez earned United Soccer Coaches All-Region accolades. TopDrawerSoccer recognized Marcia Ojo as a Top 100 Freshman and classmate Sophia Cavaliere as an "Ivy League Breakout Player to Know".
