Lacrosse Recognized as IWLCA Merit Squad

Lions rank second nationally in the classroom
NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. – After combining for a 3.785 GPA over the 2021-2022 academic year, Columbia lacrosse has been named one of three Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association Division I Academic Merit Squads.
The IWLCA announced 12 teams as 2022 IWLCA Academic Merit Squads on Tuesday, a designation awarded to the top three teams in each division with the highest team GPA for the preceding academic year. Each of the winning teams were previously named as an IWLCA Academic Honor Squad.
Of the 99 programs recognized as Honor Squads, Columbia ranked second in the nation behind fellow Ivy League competitor Brown. Stanford was the final team to earn merit accolades, ranking third in the country.
