Columbia Begins Ivy League Women’s Golf Championship Friday

Six-team event runs through Sunday at Century Golf Club
NEW YORK — Columbia will compete in the 2023 Ivy League Women's Golf Championship, which takes place Friday-Sunday at Century Golf Club in Purchase, New York. The 54-hole stroke play event will see the league's six teams vie for the Ivy League crown.
The five Lions competing in the team event will be junior Allison Paik, senior Christine Shao, first-year Yoko Tai, sophomore Paige Harrison and first-year Emma Shen. Paik has led the team through the year with a 75.18 stroke average, along with two top 10s and four top 25s. Paik, Shao and Tai are all coming off top-10 finishes at the St. John's Invitational, which took place two weeks ago at St. Andrew's Golf Club in Hastings-on-Hudson.
Last year, Columbia finished second at the championship, just three strokes behind Princeton for the title. It was Columbia's best finish in the event since winning it all in 2007.
The top five individual finishes and ties from the event will be named First Team All-Ivy League. The next five individual finishers and ties will be named Second Team All-Ivy League.
The winning team will earn an automatic bid to represent the Ivy League at the 2023 NCAA Women's Golf Regionals, which will be held May 8-10. The 2023 NCAA Women's Golf Selection Show is scheduled for Wednesday, April 26, at 1 p.m. ET, and will air live on the Golf Channel.
Pairings and first-round tee times will be released by the Ivy League following the introductory banquet Thursday evening. Fans can find pairings and follow live scoring throughout the weekend on Golfstat.
