NEW YORK —
Columbia men's tennis, cross country, and women's soccer are featured in this week's edition of Lions on the Road. Every week, GoColumbiaLions.com will be using "Lions on the Road" to preview that week's upcoming games and events happening off campus.
MEN'S TENNIS
Men's tennis is back in action for the first time since the ITA All-American Championships as several members of the team will travel to Philadelphia to compete in the ITA Northeast Regional Championships.

Sachin Palta earned a spot in the singles main draw. First-years
Thanaphat Boosarawongse and
Jung Hee You earned spots in the qualifying singles draw. Columbia will also have four doubles teams compete in the main draw. The two singles main draw finalists and the doubles main draw champion will earn an automatic bid into the NCAA Championships in November.

CROSS COUNTRY
Both cross country teams are back in action this weekend, with two meets on the docket for Friday morning. The ECAC Championships are first up, taking place at Van Cortlandt Park this year at 9:30 a.m. Later in the morning, the team will also partake in the Princeton Invitational in New Jersey at 10 a.m. The Lions are coming off a solid performance at the METS Championships hosted by NJIT last weekend.
Daniela Quintero led the women, coming in eighth place in the 5k with a time of 18:25.8 and was named Ivy League Women's Co-Athlete of the Week for her efforts.
Tyler Tubman paced the Lions with a seventh place finish in the men's 8k, finishing with a time of 26:05.3.

WOMEN'S SOCCER
Columbia (6-3-3, 4-0-0 Ivy) is back on the road this weekend to face Brown (5-3-4, 2-1-1 Ivy) in an important road contest. The Lions enter the matchup on a five-game win streak after escaping with a 1-0 win over Dartmouth last Sunday on a converted penalty kick in the 87
th minute. With the win and a Princeton loss Sunday, Columbia sits at the top of the current Ivy League standings with three league games remaining. Brown enters the weekend after playing to a scoreless draw at Penn on Sunday. Brown defeated Yale, 2-0 earlier in the week. In the last meeting between Columbia and Brown, the Lions prevailed, 2-1 in a double overtime thriller to advance to the Ivy League Tournament championship game in Providence.
