Field Hockey Hosts Dartmouth Sunday for Senior Day

NEW YORK — Columbia field hockey concludes the regular season with a Senior Day matchup vs. Dartmouth on Sunday at 10 a.m.

Senior Day
Columbia will recognize Lindsey Yu, Jeannine Turgeon, Gracie Hecht, Lily Baker, and Katie Wimmer prior to Sunday's match. The ceremony will begin at approximately 9:50 a.m.
Last Time Out
The Lions (5-9, 2-4) swept both games last weekend, defeating Yale on Friday, 3-2, and Lehigh on Sunday, 2-0.
Friday's match featured a game-winning goal off a penalty corner from Delfina Gonzalez Lobo with 6:01 left in the fourth quarter. Jacinta Solari Etcheberry also added two goals. On Sunday, Columbia received goals from Ashley Kim and Mckenzie Bloom in the win.
Goalkeeper Katie Wimmer totaled 18 saves between two victories at Yale and Lehigh. The senior captain stopped nine shots in each win. Sunday's defeat over Lehigh was Wimmer's sixth career shutout and fourth of the season.
Wimmer Continues to Impress
Wimmer ranks fourth nationally in saves per game (8.3) and in save percentage (.823). Both marks lead the Ivy League. Wimmer's 116 saves on the season also lead the conference and fifth in the country. The Windham, New Hampshire native was named Ivy League Defensive Player of the Week on Monday for the fourth time this season.
Ivy Tournament Clinching Scenarios
Columbia clinches a spot in the Ivy League Tournament with a win over Dartmouth and a Harvard win over Cornell, a Princeton win over Yale, and a Brown win over Penn. All three other Ivy League matches take place on Saturday.
