14 Lions Recognized as Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athletes

Columbia posts the best team GPA in the Ivy League
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) announced its 2023-24 Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete honors Tuesday afternoon. 14 members of the Columbia softball team were recognized on the list.
Columbia's All-America Scholar-Athletes include Georgia Corey, Jaden Hill, Jordan Hill, Tatum Hubble, Olivia Madkins, Lily McCord, Savanna Messner, Sarah Mikami, Cami Neal, Caroline Palys, Raquel Reyes, Maddy Rifenberick, Payton Shimansky and Maddie Souza. NCAA Division I led the way with 2,573 student-athletes earning a 3.5 grade-point average or higher for 2023-24 academic year.
In the team GPA category, Columbia finished tied for 15th among NCAA Division I institutions. Columbia posted a slightly better team average than Harvard to finish with the best team GPA in the Ivy League for the 2023-24 year.
The rankings and honors recognize the academic prowess of softball teams across the Association's membership categories. Team GPAs and scholar-athletes are submitted by member head coaches.
