Lions host Pride Night Friday; First 100 fans receive a Pride bracelet
NEW YORK — Columbia field hockey hosts No. 15 Princeton for Pride Night on Friday 6 p.m. before embarking on a three-game road trip with a contest at Wagner on Sunday at 12 p.m.

Last Time Out
Columbia was shutout by Monmouth, 1-0, on Sunday afternoon from Columbia Field Hockey Complex. Columbia goalkeeper Katie Wimmer kept the Lions close all game with 13 saves, including four in the final frame. Jacinta Solari Etcheberry was the lone Lion with multiple shots on goal. Emma Reilly, Sam Petrucco, and Lindsey Yu each tallied a shot on goal for Columbia.
The Lions defeated Cornell in its Ivy League opener, 1-0, on Friday afternoon at Dodson Field. Nearly six minutes into the match, Yu found the back of the cage for her second game-winning goal of the season.
Wimmer Collects Weekly Ivy Award
Goalkeeper Katie Wimmer was named Ivy League Defensive Player of the Week, the conference announced on Monday. Wimmer earned her second shutout victory of the year last Friday with a nine-save performance at Cornell.
The senior captain ranks third nationally in save percentage (.870) and in saves per game (9.40). Monday's accolade was the fourth Ivy League Defensive Player of the Week nod of Wimmer's career.
About Princeton
Princeton (4-2, 1-0) enters Friday's match having won two straight, including a 3-0 victory last Friday in its Ivy League opener at Penn. Beth Yeager is tied for the conference lead with four goals, while teammate Grace Schulze has three. Columbia's lone win in the series came in 2014 at home.
About Wagner
The Seahawks enter this weekend at 4-3 (1-0). Charlotte Muller and Floortje Leunisse are tied for the team lead with five goals a piece. Sunday's match is the second all-time meeting between Columbia and Wagner, as the Lions earned a 2-0 win in 2022 at home.
