BRONX, N.Y. — The Columbia cross country program began its 2024 campaign on Saturday morning, with both the men and women competing at the Fordham Fiasco at Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx. The women placed second in the competition, while the men finished in third place, and both teams combined for seven top-10 finishers.
Grace Carr was Columbia's highest finisher, placing third overall in the 5k with a time of 20:09.30.
Isabella Shertzer (8th - 21:18:20),
Daniela Quintero (9th - 21:29.50), and
Naomi Toft (10th - 21:30.50) rounded out the top 10.
Tyler Tubman paced the men with a sixth-place finish in the 8k, clocking in at 28:38.90.
Nicholas Hayden (9th - 29:16.90) and
Jonah Aden (10th - 29:27.70) rounded out the top 10.

Next weekend the Lions will be competing in both the Spiked Shoe Invitational hosted by Penn State and the Iona Meet of Champs hosted by the Gaels at VCP.
