No. 69 Women’s Tennis Hosts No. 43 Rice on Saturday

Lions look to extend winning stream to four matches
NEW YORK – The 69th-ranked Columbia women's tennis team is back at home Saturday hosting No. 43 Rice inside the Philip and Cheryl Milstein Family Tennis Center.
Saturday's match against the Owls was originally scheduled for 10 a.m., but will now be played at 10:30 a.m.

LIONS IN THE ITA RANKINGS
Columbia checked in at No. 69 in this week's edition of the ITA Rankings released earlier this week. Columbia was previously ranked No. 62 last week.
LAST TIME OUT
Columbia extended its winning streak to three matches after defeating Wagner 7-0 last weekend. The Lions are 8-4 overall and 5-1 on their home courts.
Columbia claimed the doubles point early by winning the one and three doubles matches to take the lead over the Seahawks. The duo of Malak El Allami and Fatima Keita posted a 6-0 victory in the one spot. Sophia Wang and Emily Baek followed that up with a 6-1 win in the three spot to secure the doubles point for the Lions.
Columbia got dominating wins from Baek, Salma Farhat, and Winta Tewolde in the four, five and six spot to put the Lions up, 4-0. Gayathri Krishnan, Keita, and Wang all won their singles matches in straight sets to finish the sweep of Wagner
