PHILADELPHIA – Junior
Nick Fine saw his run in the 2025 NCAA Wrestling Championships end in the second consolation round on Friday afternoon at the Wells Fargo Arena.
Fine fell to Wyoming's Eddie Neitenbach SV-1 (9-6). Fine, a junior from Cumberland, R.I. was trailing throughout most of regulation when he scored a 3-point reversal with 52 seconds remaining in the third period to tie the bout up 6-6. In the first overtime, Fine could not get the point he needed for the victory. Neitenbach secured the win with a takedown midway through the first overtime.
The loss concludes wrestling's 2024-25 season. A strong year that saw the Lions send five athletes to the NCAA Championships, tied for second most in program history. As a team, Columbia finished with 3.0 points at the NCAA Championships – tied for 48th.
