Volleyball Announces 2026 Schedule

Lions play 10 home matches, starting with the Big Apple Tournament
NEW YORK – The Columbia volleyball program is pleased to announce its 2026 schedule. The Lions will play 23 matches, including 10 home contests, beginning with the Big Apple Tournament from September 4-5.
Year five of the Patric Santiago era begins with the Big Apple Tournament at Schiller Court at Levien Gymnasium. The Lions will host FDU, Iona, and Lafayette. Columbia opens the tournament against FDU on September 5 at 11 a.m. Later that night, the Lions take on the Gaels at 7:00 p.m. The tournament concludes on Saturday, with Columbia hosting Lafayette at 6 p.m.
The following weekend, the Lions will play in the first of two back-to-back tournaments, traveling to Erie, Pa., to participate in the Mercyhurst Invitational September 11-12. Columbia opens the tournament against the host at 1 p.m. Later that afternoon, the Lions take on Niagara at 4 p.m. The tournament concludes on Sunday, with the Lions taking on Kent State at 11 a.m.
The following weekend, the Lions will travel to Fort Wayne, Indiana, for two days when they participate in the Purdue Fort Wayne Invitational, September 18-19. Columbia opens the tournament against the Mastodons on September 18 at 11 a.m. That same day, the Lions take on Indiana State at 4:30 p.m. Columbia wraps up its non-conference slate on September 19 against Stonehill at 10 a.m.
The Lions open conference play with a trio of road contests. Columbia takes on Cornell in Ithaca on September 26 at 3:00 p.m. The Lions play back-to-back road matches at Princeton and Penn to begin October.
Columbia returns home from its longest stretch away from the friendly confines when it hosts Harvard and Dartmouth on October 9 and 10. The following weekend, the Lions return to the road, taking on Yale and Brown on October 16 and 17.
The next five contests will all be at home, beginning with a home date against Cornell on October 24. On October 30 and 31st, the Lions host Penn and Princeton. They wrap up the homestand on November 6 and 7 when Brown and Yale come to New York.
Columbia closes out the regular season at Dartmouth on November 13 and at Harvard on November 14.
2026 marks the fifth year of the four-time Ivy League Tournament, which the top seed will host. With a berth in the NCAA Championships on the line, the tournament will be held from November 20-22.
