2018-19 (Sophomore): (Indoor) Set a personal record in the 1,000-Meter Run at the Fastrack Metro Season Opener (Dec. 1), crossing the line in 2:37.50 ... In next race, set a PR in the 800m, clocking a time of 1:59.05 at the Dartmouth-Yale-Columbia (Jan. 18) meet ... Was Columbia's top finisher at the Mets Indoor Track & Field Championships (Jan. 31-Feb. 1) in the 500-Meter Dash, finishing with a time of 1:05.51 to finish seventh ... Set a PR in the 500m at the Ivy League Indoor Track & Field Heps (Feb. 23-24), clocking a time of 1:05.87 ... Ran the second leg on the second place finishing Distance Medley Relay squad that clocked a time of 9:54.92 at the IC4A/ECAC Indoor Track & Field Championships (Mar. 1-3). 2017-18 (First-Year): (ITF) Ran a season best 1:06.04 in the 500m at the Columbia Challenge. (OTF) Clocked a season best 49.30 in the 400m during Outdoor Heps … Also competed on the Sprint Relay team that won its heat at Penn Relays. 

Personal: Former 400m and 800m specialist at The Moraitis Schhol in Athens, Greece ... Twice a winner in the 800m at the U-18 Greek Championship, while earning first place in the 600m during the U-16 Greek Championship ... Won the 800m at the High Schools Championship of Greece and Cyprus in 2016, and won the 400m at the private High Schools Championship in 2015 and 2016 ... Posted personal bests of 48.65 in the 400m, 1:22.40 in the 600m, and 1:52.40 in the 800m ... The son of Angeliki Makropoulou and Panagiotis Kopanas ... Plans on studying mathematics at Columbia College.
