PRINCETON, N.J. – Columbia junior guard Maodo Lo was a unanimous first team All-Ivy League selection, the conference announced Wednesday afternoon.
The Ivy League's leading scorer at 18.4 points per game, Lo was named the Ancient Eight's Player of the Week on three occasions, including the final week of the season after a record-breaking performance.
Lo buried 11 three-pointers to set a new Ivy League record en route to scoring 37 points at Princeton on March 7. The point total not only established a career-high, but also the most points scored by an Ivy Leaguer in four seasons.
The Berlin, Germany, native started all 28 games for the Lions and reached double-figures in 25 of those contests, including 13 20-point performances and a trio of 30-point games. He averaged 19.6 points in Ivy League contests and 26 points in his final six games of the year.
Lo also reached the 1,000-point plateau against Dartmouth on February 14 and now sits 16th on the school's all-time scoring list with 1,165 career points. His 84 made 3-pointers led the conference and was the second highest single-season total in school history. For his career, Lo has made 181 shots from beyond the arc to put him eight away from setting a new Columbia career record.
