Pizzano, who reported to major league spring training, was taken in the 15th round in the 2012 MLB Entry Draft by the Mariners. He hit .308 with four homers and 33 RBI in 58 games with AA Jackson and earned a nod to the Southern League All-Star Game. However, his season was cut short in June due to injury.
