Nine Lions Selected to Compete at ITA Northeast Regionals

Jennifer Kerr, Melissa Sakar, Akanksha Bhan, Christie Wan, Yekaterina Alferova, Andrea Kevakian, Paulina Ferrari, Sarah Hu and Renee Ren will compete at event held at Yale.
NEW HAVEN, Conn.—Nine Columbia women's tennis players were selected to compete at the ITA Northeast Division I Regional Championship presented by Oracle from October 11-16 and hosted at Yale University. The tournament website is located at this link. Draws will be announced at a later time.
Columbia's selected competitors include five players—sophomore Jennifer Kerr, first-year Melissa Sakar, first-year Akanksha Bhan, sophomore Christie Wan and first-year Yekaterina Alferova—in the Main Draw Singles, three doubles teams in Wan and senior Andrea Kevakian, Bhan and sophomore Paulina Ferrari and Kerr and junior Sarah Hu. Junior Renee Ren was also selected as an Alternate in Qualifying Singles.
Competition at the Cullman-Heyman Tennis Center begins on Thursday. The schedule is posted below.
