PRINCETON, N.J. – Senior Harrisen Egly earned the final Ivy League Pitcher of the Week award after helping the Columbia baseball team reach the Ivy League Championship Series with a fantastic outing Saturday at Cornell. Egly becomes the first Lions' pitcher to earn the honor since Josh Simpson did so on April 4, 2017.

With Columbia facing a must-win situation to keep pace with Dartmouth for the second spot in the ILCS, Egly delivered 7.2 innings of one-run ball in a 3-2 victory over the Big Red. The Edina, Minnesota, native allowed four hits and struck out nine batters, which set a new career-high and season-high for the Lions.

Junior Ben Porter and sophomore Liam McGill were each selected to the Ivy League Weekly Honor Roll for their contributions in the 2-1 week. Porter led the team in hitting for the third consecutive weekend, going 5-for-12 (.417) with a double and two RBI in Columbia's game two win. McGill was 4-for-10 (.400) with a homer, two runs scored and three RBI in the series. Both players posted a .500 on-base percentage.

Columbia and Yale will battle in New Haven this weekend, May 19-20, in a best-of-three ILCS to determine the Ancient Eight's automatic berth to the NCAA Regionals. The series will begin with a 12:05 p.m. doubleheader Saturday, May 19, with game two beginning 30 minutes after the completion of game one. The if-necessary third game will be played at 1:05 p.m. Sunday, May 20.
