Columbia Announces Coaching Transition For Volleyball

A national search for a new head volleyball coach will begin immediately.

NEW YORK — Peter Pilling, the Campbell Family Director of Intercollegiate Athletics and Physical Education at Columbia University announced today that Columbia women's volleyball head coach Allison Keeley will not return to Columbia for the 2022 season.

"All of us are grateful for the hard work and effort that Coach Keeley has contributed to the Columbia University women's volleyball program over the past four years," Pilling noted.

Keeley compiled a record of 27-45 in three seasons (four years) as head coach of the Columbia Lions, finishing with a mark of 11-31 against Ivy League opponents. The 2020 fall volleyball season was canceled by The Ivy League in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.

A national search for a new head volleyball coach will begin immediately.

"We remain committed to providing holistic support to our student-athletes in all aspects of their Columbia University intercollegiate athletics experience," adds Pilling.
