Lions Travel to Cornell for Ivy League Contest

Columbia will meet the Big Red at 3:00 P.M. in Ithaca.
NEW YORK -- The Columbia women's lacrosse team (2-5, 0-1 Ivy) looks to capture its first Ivy League victory on Saturday afternoon in Ithaca. The Lions are scheduled to meet the Big Red (3-3, 0-1 Ivy) on Schoellkopf Field at 3:00 P.M.. Fans can catch all the action on ESPN+ or through live stats.

Here are five things to keep in mind ahead of first draw:
ROAD RULES
Columbia has competed in just one other road contest this season, facing the University of New Hampshire in Durham last Saturday. From here on out, the Lions will spend the majority of the time on the road meeting five of its final eight competitors on their home field.
LEAGUE LEADERS
Through seven games, co-captain Katie Lutz sits second in the Ivy League in assists per game (3). The senior has dished out seven assists while recording nine goals for 14 total points. Additionally, she is tied for third in most league points (4) and shots per game (8). On the opposite end of the field, first-year goalkeeper Simone Koryszewski sits in second in saves per game (12).

Cornell sits at 3-3 on the year, earning victories over Villanova (14-9), Binghamton (18-4), and Colgate (17-6). Of its losses, the closest came over its toughest competitor, #10 Princeton, as the Big Red battled within one by the end of regulation (12-13).
Senior Amanda Cramer leads the offense, scoring a team-best 15 goals with a pair of assists for 17 total points. Junior Sophie Ward follows with 11 goals while classmate Katie Castiello sits in third with ten goals and a team-leading five assists. From the draw, junior Annie Castiello has secured 29 controls.
In goal, graduate student Katie McGahan has made all six starts while boasting a .415 save percentage. The fourth-ear starter has turned away 60 shots in 306 minutes of play.
