Volleyball Reveals 2023 Schedule

Lions open the season on September 1 at home against Fordham
NEW YORK — The Columbia volleyball program and second-year head coach Patric Santiago have revealed the team's 2023 schedule, with the season set to begin with a home match against Fordham on Friday, September 1 at 7 p.m.
The next day, the Lions will play host to the University of Virginia, as the Cavaliers come to NYC for a match on Saturday, September 2 at noon. Later that night, Columbia will take on Quinnipiac at Levien in the team's first doubleheader of the season.
On Wednesday, September 6, the Lions will take their first road trip of the season as they travel upstate to take on Stony Brook.
Columbia returns home on Friday, September 8 to host the Manhattan Jaspers followed by another doubleheader on Saturday at Schiller Court against Morgan State and Rutgers.
The following weekend, the Lions will close out the non-conference portion of their schedule as they take part in the Red Storm Invitational hosted by St. John's. Columbia will square off against Bryant on Friday at 4:30 p.m. and then Buffalo on Saturday at 11 a.m.
Ivy League play begins on Friday, September 22, and the Lions will kick things off with a home match against Cornell at 2 p.m. Columbia is scheduled for four more consecutive home matches to open the conference slate, including tilts against Harvard (September 29), Dartmouth (September 30), Brown (October 6), and Yale (October 7).
The Lions' first Ivy League road trip will be to New Jersey and Philadelphia, as they are scheduled to take on Princeton on Friday, October 13 and Penn on Saturday, October 14. The Tigers and Quakers will make the return trip to Manhattan the weekend of November 3, which will be Columbia's final homestand of the regular season.
The regular season will come to a close on Saturday, November 11 with a road contest against Brown.
2023 marks the second year of the four-team Ivy League Tournament, which will be hosted by the top seed. With a birth to the NCAA Championships on the line, the tournament will be held between the dates of November 17-19.
