Lions fare well at Penn Challenge

NEW YORK — The Columbia outdoor track & field team began its season on Saturday morning at the Penn Challenge.

Devon Davey had the highest finish in the track events, taking second place in the 200m with a time of 21.81.

Obiora Okeke highlighted the field events, placing second in the discus throw with a mark of 46.19m.

Aminah Martin had the highest finish for the women, finishing in third place in the 100m hurdles with a time of 15.70.

Norina Khanzada and Patrice Smith both had a fifth place finish, in the high jump and long jump, respectively.

With the Lions' outdoor season fully underway, next up will be the Raleigh Relays on March 28 in North Carolina.
