Baseball Headed to Hattiesburg Regional

The Lions will open up regional play against top-seeded Southern Miss Friday
NEW YORK — Columbia baseball earned a No. 4 seed in the Hattiesburg Regional and will face hosts Southern Miss on Friday, May 30, at Pete Taylor Park/Hill Denson Field at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN+.
The Golden Eagles (44-14, 24-6 Sun Belt) received the No. 16 national seed in the 2025 NCAA DI Baseball Tournament. Alabama (41-16, 16-14 SEC) earned the No. 2 seed and will face No. 3 Miami (31-24, 15-14 ACC) to round out the four-team pod.
The Lions (29-17, 16-5 Ivy League) will be making their eighth overall NCAA Tournament appearance, and sixth since 2013. Columbia has reached the Regional Championship Round twice (2015, 202). Columbia earned the Ivy League's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament after winning the Ivy League Tournament. The Lions enter the regional as the winners of nine straight and 16 of their last 17 games.
Ticket prices include $120 for All-Session Chairback seats, while All-Session General Admission passes and Wheelchair seating will be $100. All-Session General Admission tickets for students for all four competing institutions will be $50. More information on how to purchase will be provided at a later time.
The 2025 Hattiesburg Regional will open on Friday, May 30, with two games being played each day through Sunday and a potential game seven set for Monday. A full schedule of the weekend's games is below. All times are EDT.
