
Men’s Basketball Announces 2025 Signing Class

The Lions welcome Bai, Coleman, Sanders, Igoe, Soulis, and Franklin to the program
NEW YORK — Columbia men's basketball coach Kevin Hovde announced the addition of six newcomers ahead of the 2025-26 season. Miles Franklin, Connor Igoe, and Edwin Bai will enroll as first-years, while Leland Coleman and Ryan Soulis (sophomores) and Hampton Sanders (junior) enter the program as transfers.
"We are excited to welcome the six newest members of the Columbia men's basketball program," Hovde said. "This incoming class features great versatility, size, and athleticism, along with significant college basketball playing experience. Each of these young men has the potential to make an immediate impact on our team, and they represent the values we stand for on and off the court."

High School: A June 2025 graduate of Sierra Canyon School in Chatsworth, California… California Division 1 State Champion in 2024-2025… California Division 1 Regional Champion… Member of Hong Kong U22 national team… Champion of an International Tournament representing Sierra Canyon vs. Hong Kong local pro teams… Champion of Beverly Hills Tournament in 2023… Back-to-back champion of the Chosen 1 Invitational Tournament.
#6 Leland Coleman - Sophomore
Forward | 6-7 | 190 lbs | Richmond, Virginia | New Orleans/Hargrave Military Academy/Trinity Episcopal School
2024-25 (New Orleans): Appeared in 26 games and made 10 starts… Averaged 16.8 minutes per game… Shot 54.6 percent from the field… Dropped a season-high 21 points against SFA on Feb. 3.
High School: Averaged 12.2 points and 7.3 rebounds per game his senior year… Led his team in rebounds and to a 2024 First Piedmont Corp. Invitational Championship.
#7 Hampton Sanders - Junior
Guard | 6-0 | 185 lbs | South Brunswick, New Jersey | NYU/The Lawrenceville School
2024-25 (NYU): Appeared in 31 games and made one start… Division III National Championship Runner-up… Division III Final Four All-Tournament Team… Second Team All-UAA selection… UAA All-Academic selection… Averaged 11.6 points per game… Shot 53.6 percent from the field and 48.6 percent from three-point range… Had a career-high 25 points on Jan. 11 vs. Brandeis.
2023-24 (NYU): Appeared in all 27 games as a reserve… Scored a season-high 21 points against Case Western Reserve, going 5-for-5 on three-pointers (Feb. 9)... Shot a perfect 4-for-4 from the field, 2-for-2 from three-point range, and 5-for-5 from the foul line against Connecticut College (Dec. 2)... Grabbed a season-high six rebounds vs Carnegie Mellon (Feb. 11) and in his collegiate debut against Manhattanville (Nov. 8)... Also posted a season-best three steals vs. Manhattanville… Scored double-digit points seven times… Recorded a season-high five assists vs. SUNY Oneonta (Dec. 30)... 2024-25 (Richmond): Appeared in 20 games, averaging 1.8 points, 1.0 rebounds, and 0.5 assists per game… Set career highs with eight points and three blocks vs Duquesne on Feb. 5.
2023-24 (Richmond): Appeared in three games, totaling two rebounds, two blocks, and one assist.
High School: Averaged 12 points per game in his lone season at Asheville School in 2022-23… Led Asheville to a 19-6 record and semifinals berth in NCISAA 3A State Championship.
