Miles Franklin Named Ivy League Rookie of the Week

Franklin collects fifth ROTW award this season
PRINCETON, N.J. — Columbia men's basketball first-year guard Miles Franklin has been named Ivy League Rookie of the Week, the conference announced on Monday afternoon.
Franklin averaged 13 points per game on the road at Penn and Princeton on Friday and Saturday, respectively. The Vienna, Va. native shot 10-24 from the floor and tallied six rebounds per game on the weekend.
On Friday against the Quakers, Franklin recorded his first career double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds. His performance at The Palestra included a 6-14 mark from the field, three assists, and a steal. Franklin matched his career-high in field goals made. He followed up with a 12-point showing in Saturday's 75-65 win at Princeton.
Franklin was also tabbed Ivy League Rookie of the Week on Nov. 10, Dec. 8, Dec. 29, and Jan. 12. Teammate and fellow first-year Connor Igoe has three Ivy League Rookie of the Week nods, bringing Columbia's total to eight on the season.
The Lions (15-9, 4-6) host Dartmouth (10-13, 4-6) on Saturday at 2 p.m.
