Jon Jaques joins Kyle Smith's staff for the 2012-13 season as a graduate manager. Jaques' main responsibilities will include handling the team's film exchange program, helping with player development, and assisting the coaching staff in hosting on-campus visits.
Jaques comes to Columbia after a one-year stint as an assistant coach at Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, N.J. that posted a 20-8 record and reached the ECAC Semifinals in 2011-12.
A four-year letterwinner at Cornell, Jaques was a member of a three Ivy League Championship teams and was a starter on the 2009-10 NCAA Tournament squad that made a run to the "Sweet 16." He was named a team captain in his senior year and earned the Men's Basketball Rebounder Award.
Jaques earned his degree in Biology and Society in 2010 and went on to play a season in the Isreali Premier League (First Division) with Ironi "Eldan" Ashkelon. He is currently enrolled in the Mailman School of Public Health.
