2019-20 (Sophomore): (XC) Ran a personal best time of 26:40.4 (254th) in the 8K at the Paul Short Run (Oct. 5) ... Posted best finish, 18th, at the Stony Brook Wolfie Invitational (Sept. 7), clocking a time of 21:41.6 in the 8K. (Indoor) Opened the season with a 2:33.72 fourth-place finish in the 1,000-Meter Run at the Fastrack Season Opener (Dec. 6) ... Ran the opening leg on the 4x800-Meter Relay squad that clocked a time of 7:42.79 to finish second at the Ivy League Indoor Track & Field (Feb. 29-Mar. 1) ... Earned Second Team All-Ivy League honors in the 4x800m Relay. (Outdoor) Season Canceled.
2018-19 (First Year): (XC) Ran the 6K in a personal best time of 20:16.7 to finish 24th at the Marist Season Opener (Sept. 1) ... Posted a 20th place finish at the Metropolitan Intercollegiate Championship (Oct. 12). (Indoor) Collected four top 10 finishes throughout the season ... Opened up indoor career with a seventh place finish in the One Mile Run, finishing the race in 4:26.32 at the Fastrack Metro Season Opener (Dec. 1) ... Had a pair of top finishes at the Mets Indoor Track & Field Championships (Jan. 31-Feb. 1), finishing fourth with a PR time of 2:32.13 in the 1,000-Meter Run and was a member of the 4x800-Meter Relay team that clocked in at 7:47.70 to finish third. (Outdoor) Hit a PR time of 4:08.47 in the 1,500-Meter Run to start the season at the Penn Challenge (Mar. 23) ... Recorded first career first place finish with a PR time of 1:54.56 in the 800-Meter Run at the Yale Springtime Invitational (Apr. 28).
Personal: Earned seven varsity letters in track & field and cross country while competing at Palos Verdes High School in California … Won the CIF SS Masters 800m in each of his final two seasons, with a 1:52.51 PR his senior year … The son of Paula and Miles Irish.
