Lane Robinette started the fifth inning with a double and scored when Kinne singled to right to make it 7-1.
Columbia tacked on two more in the seventh on a Joe Engel double and a sac fly from Kinne. Randell Kanemaru belted the first Lion homer of the season, a two-run blast, to make it 8-5 after seven and a half innings.
In the ninth, Engel notched a leadoff walk followed by a Will Savage single. Kinne registered another knock to bring in Engel and move Savage to third. Robb Paller made it a one-run game by pulling a single into rightfield. With two outs and Kinne on second, Kanemaru tied the ballgame with a base-hit up the middle.
Jacksonville put the winning run on second with two outs when the Lions called to the bullpen for Harrisen Egly. Nathan Koslowski grounded to short and Engel fired home to get the out at the plate to extend the game.
The Lions wasted no time in the 10th starting a rally. Kyle Bartelman started things off with a single to right and was lifted for pinch-runner Shane Adams. Engel dropped a sacrifice bunt to push the go-ahead run into scoring position and Kinne flared his fourth hit of the day to knock in Adams.
Egly retired the first two batters before issuing a single two singles. However, the sophomore righty induced a ground out to first to end the game.
The Columbia bullpen of Ethan Abrams, Bryce Barr and Egly tossed seven innings of scoreless relief to aid the Lion comeback.
Engel finished 2-for-2 with a walk.
GAME TWO RECAP
Adam Cline pitched a gem, allowing just one hit and fanning eight batters in six innings of work, but Jacksonville scratched out a run in the fourth inning to pick up the victory.
The Dolphins' P Perez singled through the left side and got to third after a two-base error. Cline forced a ground out to Austin Hays, but Perez scored for the only score of the contest.
The Lions' best opportunity to get back in it came in the sixth when they loaded the bases with two outs. Kinne was hit by a pitch to leadoff the frame, Kanemaru singled and Logan Boyher worked a walk. However, a ground out ended the threat.
The Lions wrap up the four-game slate with Jacksonville on Sunday, March 6 at 12 p.m.
