
Sophie Whitehouse Named Ivy League Player of the Week

NEW YORK - Columbia women's soccer Sophie Whitehouse was named Ivy League Player of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.
Behind an impressive eight saves, the junior goalkeeper held No.11 Princeton scoreless to bolster a 2-0 Columbia victory. Whitehouse joined No.6 West Virginia as they only team to blank the Tigers this season, en route to her fourth-consecutive shutout. The Washington, D.C. native has yet to allow a goal against Ivy League opponents, helping the Lions remain the only unbeaten team in conference play at 4-0 to take sole possesion of first place.
Columbia (8-4-1, 4-0 Ivy) will return to action on Saturday, Oct. 21 as they travel to Hanover, New Hampshire to face Dartmouth (6-8-0, 0-4 Ivy) in a 3:30 p.m. match.
