HANOVER, N.H. — Dartmouth used a barrage of 3-pointers midway through the first half to build a big lead and came away with an 82-66 victory over the Columbia men's basketball team Saturday night. The Lions (6-14, 1-5) were led by a 14-point, seven-rebound effort from Patrick Tapé.
Quinton Adlesh chipped in 13 points and six boards. Maka Ellis provided 13 off the bench.
The Big Green (12-10, 2-4) shot 10-of-24 from beyond the arc on the night, paced by Brendan Barry's three 3-pointers on his way to a game-high 21 points.
An early 15-2 run, capped by an Aaryn Rai layup, gave the Big Green a 17-8 advantage with 11:20 left in the period. The Lions answered with the next three buckets and Tapé' made a nice move in the post to make it a two-point game before Dartmouth caught fire from long range.

Tapé's scoop under the goal brought Columbia within 10, but James Foye closed the half with an off-balance trey from the corner as time expired to give Dartmouth a 39-25 lead at the break.
Ian Sistare started the second half with two dagger 3-pointers with the shot clock winding down and Columbia was held without a field goal for the first 5:07 of the stanza.
