Columbia first-year lands on TopDrawerSoccer’s Player Rankings
NEW YORK — Columbia women's soccer's Maia Tabion has made TopDrawerSoccer's "Freshmen Top 100" player rankings. The website's midseason rankings slot Tabion at No. 77.
A first-year attacker from Sammamish, Washington, Tabion has scored three goals and tallied two assists through her first 13 collegiate games. Those goals came in a 2-2 draw against St. John's, a 4-1 win over Stony Brook and a 4-0 win over Fordham. The rookie has started all 13 matches she has played in.
Tabion has been named Ivy League Rookie of the Week twice this season (Sept. 12, Sept. 26), which ties for the most such selections in the league.
Columbia (7-4-3, 3-2-1 Ivy) concludes the 2022 regular season this Saturday at Harvard (10-1-3, 4-0-2 Ivy).
