Columbia will claim the Ivy League title with a win or draw against Princeton Saturday
NEW YORK – The Columbia women's soccer team will host Princeton in the final Ivy League game of the regular season Saturday at 2 p.m. at Rocco B. Commisso Soccer Stadium to determine the Ivy League champion.
Columbia (7-3-4, 5-0-1 Ivy) sits atop the Ivy League standings and is ahead of Princeton (11-4-0, 5-1-0 Ivy) by one point. A win or draw Saturday would give Columbia its first Ivy League title since 2006 and just its second conference crown in program history. Hosting rights for the Ivy League Tournament starting on November 8 are also on the line Saturday. The top seed at the end of the regular season earns hosting rights in the four-team tournament that determines the league's automatic qualifier in the NCAA Tournament.
