Archery Begins 2025 Season Sunday

Lions open at Easton Youth & Collegiate Trophy Tournament
NEW YORK — The 2025 Columbia University archery season is set to begin this Sunday at the Easton Youth and Collegiate Trophy Tournament. The shoot will take place at Spooky Nook Sports in Manheim, Pennsylvania.
All 10 members of the Columbia archery team are competing in the season-opening event. Junior duo Giselle DeSousa and Sydney Sullenberger, as well as first-year Briana Moore will compete in the compound. Meanwhile, senior Judith Gottlieb, junior Lillian Han, sophomores Michelle Ahn, Eunice Choi and Emily Rosenfeld, as well as first-years Alena Lipscomb and Mia Shin will shoot in the recurve.

The 2025 Columbia Lions archery team boasts a roster that includes seven returners and three first-year newcomers. Among the returners are sophomores Eunice Choi and Michelle Ahn, both of whom were named to this year's USA Archery Team. They teamed up with Judith Gottlieb to win the 2024 USA Archery Recurve Collegiate National Championship. Ahn, Choi, Gottlieb, Lillian Han and Giselle DeSousa were all named All-Americans.
Sydney Sullenberger (compound), who missed her sophomore season due to injury, returns this season. She won gold at the 2023 World Youth Championships and USA Archery JOAD Target Nationals. She and DeSousa qualified for that year's World Archery Youth Championships.
