NEW YORK - Ivy League play officially begins on Friday, Sept. 22 at 7 p.m. for the Columbia women's soccer team as they travel to Ithaca to take on Cornell (2-3-0). The Lions will wrap the weekend with a return to Rocco B. Commisso Soccer Stadium on Sunday, Sept. 24 at 3 p.m. to host Wagner.

INSIDE THE SERIES: The Lions are looking for its first win in Ithaca over the Big Red since 2011. Both teams have held serve at home in their last four meetings, including a 2-0 Columbia win last season behind scores from Amaris Hemmings and Natalie Neshat. The Lions have also won nine of the last 12 meetings, however, Cornell leads the all-time series 19-12.
A LOOK AT CORNELL: Under the helm of head coach Dwight Hornibrook in his first year, Cornell is off to a 2-3-0 start. The Big Red are coming off a 1-0 victory over Maine in Ithaca and look for its second-straight at home as they host Columbia on Friday night. Four different players have found the back of the net this season, including 2016 team-leading scorer Paige DeLoach.
