NEW YORK — The Columbia women's soccer team will play its penultimate regular season contest Saturday, traveling to New Haven, Connecticut to take on the Yale Bulldogs at 4 p.m. ET.
The match can be streamed live on ESPN+, with live results available at YaleBulldogs.com.
The Lions come into Saturday's matchup with a 7-6-1 overall record, including a 3-2 mark in Ivy League play. Columbia is in fourth place in the conference standings with nine points, just four points back from leader Penn and one point behind Harvard and Princeton sharing second place.
Fresh off a 1-0 victory over Dartmouth, Columbia looks to continue the momentum into Saturday's match against the Bulldogs. First-year Jess Schildkraut recorded her first career goal in the win, scoring off an assist from senior Emma Anderson in the 37th minute.
Yale owns a 7-7-1 overall record, with a 1-3 mark in league games. The Bulldogs have lost two in a row after falling 2-1 to Penn last Saturday and dropping a midweek contest to Sacred Heart, 2-1, on Wednesday.
The Bulldogs have taken the last two in the series, with Columbia's last win coming on Oct. 31, 2015 as then-first-year Anderson scored in the 105th minute to give the Lions a 2-1 double overtime win. Five of the last seven contests between the two teams has gone to extra minutes. Last season, Yale claimed a 1-0 victory in New York.
Columbia will play its final game of the regular season next Saturday, Nov. 3, taking on Harvard at 1 p.m. in Cambridge, Mass.
