LAST TIME OUT
The Lions took the middle game of a weekend series at Harvard. After falling in the series opener in five innings, Columbia bounced back by racing out to a 7-1 lead and holding off a seventh-inning rally, 10-9. Sophomore Max Ortega hit a three-run homer as part of Columbia's seven-run second, while first-year Abby Stuart hit a two-run shot for some much-needed insurance in the sixth. Harvard would go on to win the series by taking the rubber game on Sunday, 9-1.

SCOUTING MONMOUTH
Monmouth went 32-16 in 2018 on its way to the MAAC championship and a berth to the NCAA Regionals. The Hawks are having another impressive season, currently sitting at 21-12 overall and 7-1 in conference play. They've won seven of their last nine and took three of four in MAAC action over the weekend, sweeping a doubleheader against Quinnipiac and splitting Sunday's series at Rider. Junior first baseman Kayla Rosado leads the team with a .365 batting average and 23 RBIs. Lindsey Baron is hitting .317 with a team-high five homers. In the circle, sophomore Alyssa Irons boasts a 16-7 record and 1.44 ERA. She ranks seventh in the country in shutouts (7) and 15th in wins, striking out 117 in 146.1 innings pitched. Lilly Robles (5-2) has started 13 times with a 3.57 ERA.
