Women’s Soccer Returns to Rocco B. Commisso Stadium for Two-Game Homestand

Columbia set to face Stony Brook, Fordham
NEW YORK — The Columbia women's soccer team (1-1-1) will return to Rocco B. Commisso Stadium at the Baker Athletics Complex for a pair of home matches against Stony Brook (9/8) and Fordham (9/11).
Through three contests, the Lions have seen five players register goals; Ally Clark, Shira Cohen, Grace Hurren, Ania Prussak, and first-year Maia Tabion have all found the back of the net. Additionally, Clark and Prussak each dished out a pair of assists.
Junior Paige Nurkin and senior Elizabeth Matei have split time in goal, each playing 135 minutes between the pipes.

Stony Brook enters Thursday at 3-3 on the year. The Seawolves defeated Fordham 2-1 in their season opener before toppling Bryant on the road, 3-1. Stony Brook's last win came on August 28 in a 5-1 victory over LIU.
The program's losses have come at the hands of Quinnipiac (1-2), Cincinnati (5-1) and Providence (4-2).
Junior Reilly Rich has emerged the Seawolves' leader, recording a team-best three goals and three assists for nine total points. First-year Linn Beck follows with a pair of goals and two assists.
Four goalkeepers have seen time in net, three of these keepers have earned the starting role twice.
In 21 meetings, Columbia and Stony Brook have each earned nine wins while drawing three times. The Lions and Seawolves last met in 2017, a 2-0 Columbia victory.

To this point, Fordham's season has been a series of close contests. The Rams fell to Stony Brook (2-1), Dartmouth (2-0), Hofstra (1-0) and Yale (1-0) while defeating Wagner, 2-1.
Fordham's three goals were scored by graduate student Caroline Monahan, senior Maura Murphy, and sophomore Carmen Hardwick. In net, junior Maia O'Sullivan has started three games while first-year Kyla King has earned the starting role twice.
Sunday marks the 20th all-time meeting between the Lions and Rams. Columbia holds a 12-7-0 edge in the series, winning the pair's last meeting in 2019 (3-1).
