Box Score SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Columbia battled, but came up short in a tough 1-0 loss at No. 8 Santa Clara on Thursday night.
The Lions were outshot by Santa Clara, 16-5. Santa Clara registered six shots on goal compared to Columbia's one as Santa Clara converted for one goal to remain undefeated this season.

Kendall McBride recorded the lone shot of goal in the game for the Lions. She also had one shot. Senior midfielder

Maia Beltran each had one shot in the game.
Santa Clara's Farrah Walters scored the game's only goal to secure the win. She found the top left corner of the goal to score on an assist by Makoto Nezu and Sally Menti.
Senior goalkeeper
Paige Nurkin played all 90 minutes in the goal. She posted five saves in the loss.
