2022: Played and started 15 of the team's 16 games on the back line ... Totaled 1,341 minutes of game action, second on the team only to starting goalkeeper Michael Collodi (1,350) ... Went the full 90 in 14 of his 15 starts ... Totaled four shots, including two in a 1-1 draw at Manhattan (Sept. 9) ... Led the back line in a 1-0 shutout victory over perennial powerhouse St. John's (Sept. 12) ... Helped the Lions to back-to-back shutouts at Iona (Sept. 24) and at home to Brown (Oct. 1) ... Earned a fourth defensive shutout in the home finale against Yale on his Senior Night (Oct. 29).

2021: Played and started 14 of the team's 17 games on Columbia's back line ... Totaled a team-high 1,305 minutes of game action ... Played 90 minutes or more in 11 games ... Played the full 90 in Columbia 2-0 season-opening shutout victory over George Washington (Sept. 3) ... Played all 110 minutes of a scoreless double-overtime game against LIU (Sept. 18) ... Fired a season-high two shots against Iona (Sept. 25) ... Tallied his first collegiate point on an assist against Yale, feeding a cross into Sebastian Gunbeyi to cut the Bulldogs' lead in half to start the second half (Oct. 30).

2020: Season canceled (COVID-19).

2019: Played in all 17 games his rookie season, earning 12 starts  ... Totaled 1,196 minutes on Columbia's back line ... Took three shots on the season, landing two on goal ... Made his collegiate debut in the season opener at Omaha, starting and playing all 110 minutes of a 1-1 draw (Sept. 6) ... Started and helped the Lions to a 2-0 shutout of Monmouth (Sept. 27) ... Played all 110 minutes of a 0-0 draw at Dartmouth (Oct. 26).

Prior to Columbia: Played for Boca United Football Club’s youth academy since 2016, starting in all but one his 77 appearances while scoring five goals ... Scored three goals in the 2017-18 season, including both in a 2-1 win over IMG Academy after his team was trailing 1-0 ... Recognized at the national level with an invitation to the U.S. Soccer Training Center and has traveled to both Mexico and Costa Rica to represent the U.S. in the multinational Olympics ... Four-year team captain ... Selected for the South Florida Youth All-Star Game ... Academically, a member of the Scholarly Honor Roll all four years at North Broward Prep ... IB Diploma candidate, member of both the National Honor Society and French National Honor Society.

Personal: Born Feb. 7, 2001 in Pembroke Pines, Florida ... Son of Wendy and Max Gonzalez ... Father, Max, was selected for the U16 United States national team in 1990 ... Chose Columbia over considerations from Duke, Notre Dame, William & Mary and West Virginia ... Plans to study biology.
