2017-18: (ITF) Ran a season best 1:52.60 in the 800m at the IC4A/ECAC Championships ... Helped the Lions to a second place finish in the DMR at the same meet. (OTF) Ran a career best 1:51.53 in the 800m at Outdoor Heps to finish eighth … Ran in both the Sprint Medley at 4x800m relays at Penn Relays … Clocked a career best 4:01.59 in the 1,500m during the Penn Challenge.
2016-17: Posted career bests in the indoor and outdoor 800m, with a his fastest time coming at the IC4A/ECAC Championships in 1:52.59.
2015-16: Improved a career best in the 800m run, going 1:55.01 at the Yale Springtime Invitational.
2014-15: Clocked a season best 1:58.51 in the 800m at the Sam Howell Invitational.
High School: McGovern arrived to Columbia with personal-best times of 1:53.69 in the 800m run and 4:32.37 in the one mile run.
