Softball Returns Home To Host Dartmouth In Ivy League Series

NEW YORK – Columbia (7-13, 3-3 Ivy) will host Dartmouth (8-11, 3-0 Ivy) for a three-game series to continue the Ivy League slate.
Due to projected rain Saturday, the Lions and Big Green will play a doubleheader Friday and a single game Sunday to wrap up the series. First pitch of game one Friday is set for 12:30 p.m. The second game will begin at 3 p.m. First pitch for Sunday's game is slated for 12:30 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT
The Lions return to New York after spending last weekend in New Haven, Connecticut for a series with Yale. Columbia dropped the first two games of the series before bouncing back to win the series finale on Sunday.
Columbia traveled to Iona for a midweek game Wednesday. The Lions got off to a good start before the Gaels rallied back to take a 10-7 win.
TEAM LEADERS
Jaden Hill leads the Lions at the plate with a .368 batting average. She has totaled 25 hits with eight doubles, two home runs and nine RBI. Megan Ryono is batting .348 this season with 23 hits. She has hit six doubles, two home runs and seven RBI. Bubba Gleaves joins the trio of Lions batting over .300 for the season with a .328 average. Gleaves has recorded 20 hits, with six doubles, a triple and 13 RBI.
Columbia has turned on the home run hitting since the start of conference play. The Lions have hit nine home runs through the last seven games. Hill and Ryono lead the team with two homers each. Cami Neal, Eleni Katsivalis, Georgia Corey, Caroline Palys, Sarah Mikami and Dani Mandichak each have one home run this season.
Jordan Hill enters the weekend with a 5.48 ERA through 67.2 innings pitched. She's 4-7 on the season with 10 starts and 15 appearances. Jordan has totaled 38 strikeouts this year. Raquel Reyes has pitched 44.2 innings this season with a 7.21 ERA. She has a 2-4 record with seven starts and 14 appearances. Reyes has struck out 20 batters this year.
THE OPPONENT
Brown is 8-11 overall this season with a 3-0 start in Ivy League action. The Big Green swept Penn in their first conference series of the season.
Alaana Panu leads the team at the plate with a .345 batting average. Panu has 20 hits, two doubles, two triples, three home runs and 10 RBI for the season so far as she has started every game for the Big Green. Dartmouth has two other players that have also hit three home runs this season – Mary Beth Cahalan and Kelly Beaupre.
The Brown pitching staff enters the weekend with a 3.10 ERA. Rachel McCarroll leads the pitching staff with a 2.74 ERA and a 7-6 record in the circle. She has pitched a team high 76.2 innings, giving up 36 runs and totaling 46 strikeouts. Stella Bale comes into the weekend with a 3.50 ERA as she has pitched 40.0 innings and recorded 29 strikeouts.
LAST SEASON'S MEETING
Columbia lost two of three last season at Dartmouth. Cami Neal went 2-for-4 in the win and drove in a run, while Megan Ryono reached base three times and scored twice.
