Five newcomers set to join the 2025 squad
NEW YORK – Columbia softball head coach Jennifer Teague officially introduced five newcomers to the 2025 Columbia softball roster on Wednesday. The incoming class features four players from California and one from Florida.
"I am beyond thrilled to welcome this recruiting class to Morningside Heights," Teague said. "Collectively they bring a high softball IQ, power, speed and competitiveness that will help elevate and add to our already talented returning squad. This could be one of our most decorated recruiting classes coming out of the high school and club seasons. September third can't come soon enough. Team 26 is ready to go!"

EMMY DAVIS – P – 5'8 – CC – OAKS CHRISTIAN – R/R – FY – VENTURA, CALIF.

A four-year pitcher for coach Cheyenne Coyle at Oaks Christian High School … Helped lead the Lions to the 2022 CIF SoCal State Championship … Led the squad to a runner up finish in the 2023 CIF SoCal State Championship … Named team captain in 2023 … Named First Team Marmonte League in 2022 and 2023 … Recognized as Second Team Marmonte League in 2021 and 2024 … Named Daily News Pitcher of the Year in 2023 … Recorded a 2.08 ERA with 18 wins, 155 IP, 193 strikeouts and a .156 OBA during her high school career … Posted a 1.86 ERA with 15 wins in 25 appearances and 152 strikeouts in 2023 … Threw a no hitter against St. Mary's on March 9, 2023.
