NEW YORK — Columbia baseball, lightweight rowing, track and field, women's rowing are featured in this week's edition of Lions on the Road. Every week, GoColumbiaLions.com will preview that week's upcoming games and events happening off campus.

Baseball
Columbia (13-21-1, 8-8-1 Ivy) will wrap up the regular season with four Ivy League games on the road as they look to clinch a berth in the Ivy League Tournament. The Lions will make up their postponed rubber game against Brown before heading to in-state rival Cornell Big Red for a three-game set in their final Ivy League road series. Columbia is unbeaten in their last four (3-0-1) and have a magic number of three to earn the fourth and final seed in the postseason. Cole Fellows picked up Ivy League Player of the Week honors after hitting .625 with six doubles, a homer and seven RBI.
In the weekend series against the Bulldogs, Columbia claimed the opener behind 4-for-4 performances from Hunter Snyder and Cole Fellows, then delivered a dramatic comeback in the finale. erasing a 7-0 deficit before Owen Estabrook's walk-off sealed a 9-8 thriller. In the finale, the Lions led 10-2 before Yale stormed back to tie the game in the ninth, 15-15. After Columbia was retired in order, the game was called due to darkness to give the Lions their first tie since the 2007 campaign.

The Lions travel to Fairlee, Vermont, to take on Dartmouth in the Subin Cup at 9 a.m.. After winning nine straight Subin Cups over Dartmouth, Columbia has dropped the last two. In 1987, the Subin Cup was established in honor of D. William Subin, Dartmouth '63, Columbia Law '66. Subin coxed the heavyweight varsity at Dartmouth and coached lightweights while studying law at Columbia.

Columbia outdoor track & field recorded seven top-10 finishes and two school records at the Penn Relays. Edward Blaha set a program record in the 5,000m (13:43.48), while Jessica Thompson cleared 4.05m in the pole vault.
The men's 4x100m relay won its heat (41.28), and the 4x800m placed eighth (7:27.12). Colin Moore (HJ), Joshua Adams (LJ, 10th), and Marcus Blasucci (SP, 14th) led field results. On the women's side, the 4x200m placed 15th, while Norina Khanzada (HJ, 10th) and Viktoria Mihaylova (TJ, 8th) posted top finishes.
Columbia travels across the Hudson for the Larry Ellis Invitational, hosted by Princeton University, beginning at 10 a.m.

The Lions travel to Lake Quinsigamond in Worcester, Massachusetts for the Eastern Sprints on Sunday. Two weeks ago, Columbia captured a fourth straight Woodbury Cup victory over Northeastern. The Lions breezed past Northeastern by 16.14 seconds for the Woodbury Cup crown on April 11. Columbia's 1V8 boat had a time of 7:20.11 in the victory. Columbia's 1V4 and 3V8 also picked up wins on the day over Northeastern and Rhode Island.
