Biography

2008: Played in 18 games, making one start ... scored four runs while again being the team's primary pinch runner off the bench ... lone hit of the season came off Hartford ace Brittany Stratton at Rebel Games ... continued to flawlessly handle all her chances in the outfield ... also had an outfield assist in game two vs. Princeton at home, throwing out a runner at the plate.

2007: Started all 39 games in which she appeared ... second on the team with 12 sacrifice bunts ... handled all 27 of her chances flawlessly in right field ... 2-for-2 in steal attempts ... drove in four runs, including a two-run single in Columbia’s 10-2 rout of IPFW.

2006: Walked onto the team in the fall of 2005 ... appeared in 11 games ... served as team’s primary pinch-running specialist ... went hitless in two at-bats ... also saw time in the outfield.

Antilles School: Four letters earned in both softball and volleyball ... captained softball as a senior and was a two-time volleyball captain ... named high school’s most valuable female athlete as a sophomore and a senior ... summer league team, Mo Fire, won its league championship in each of her four years on the team ... high school team won its league in her first three years ... salutatorian of her graduating class.

Personal: Daughter of Jeffrey and Moira Gargano ... b. May 8, 1986 in Yanji, China ... is a double major in economics and political science.
