2018-19 (First-Year): (XC) Ran a PR time of 26:33.4 in the 8K to finish 37th at the Iona College Paddy Doyle Meet of Champions (Sept. 14) ... Crossed the line after running the 8K course in 26:53.9 at the Paul Short Brown (Sept. 29). (Indoor) Did not participate in any events. (Outdoor) Ran the 3,000-Meter in 9:18.63 at the Penn Challenge (Mar. 23) in lone race of the outdoor season.
Personal: Former cross country and track runner at Cathedral Catholic High School in California … Earned eight varsity letters as a prep and was part of the 2016 CIF State Championship cross country team … Clocked personal bests of 4:01.90 in the 1,500m, 9:18.79 in the 3,200m, 14:22.40 on the three-mile cross country course, and 15:51.60 in the 5K … Mother, Kari, was a collegiate track runner at North Carolina, while his father, Marty, played soccer at Georgetown … Has a grandfather that went to Columbia Business School and an aunt that attended Teachers College at Columbia … Founded Runners4Others, a charity that provides service opportunities for runners, teams, schools, and other organizations.
