Baseball Falls to Pepperdine in Final Game of the Series

MALIBU, CALIF. - Pepperdine battled three
The starters, Robert Dickmann for Pepperdine and Geoff Whitaker for the Lions, each pitched three innings of scoreless baseball until Eric Thames blasted a two-run home run in the fourth inning to give Pepperdine a 2-0 lead.
Trailing 9-0, the Lions tried to rally in the ninth but were unable to convert, leaving three stranded.
Henry Perkins and Alex Ferrera each had two hits for the Lions.
The Lions fell to 0-8 while the #24 Waves improved to 10-3.
The Lions are back in action March 14 at 7 p.m. when they take on Georgia Southern in the first game of a four-game series in Statesboro, Ga.
