
Softball Hosts Fairfield In Midweek Contest

NEW YORK – The Lions return home Wednesday to host Fairfield in a midweek contest. First pitch is set for 4 p.m. at the Columbia Softball Stadium.

Columbia spent the weekend at Princeton, where the Lions were swept by the Tigers. Columbia looks to rebound Wednesday before hosting Penn for a weekend series on Saturday and Sunday.
Jaden Hill has been one of the top hitters for the Lions this season with a .316 batting average. She has 30 hits, 10 doubles, three home runs, and 10 RBI in 28 starts this season.
Cami Neal and Megan Ryono are also batting over .300 for the season. Neal has 26 total hits, with nine doubles, one triple, one homer, and 15 RBI with a .306 average. Ryono totals 27 hits with eight doubles, two home runs, and nine RBI with a .303 average.
Right-handers Jordan Hill and Raquel Reyes have led the charge in the circle for Columbia. Jordan Hill has a 4.97 ERA with a 5-9 record for the season. She has 48 total strikeouts. Reyes is 4-6 with a 5.90 ERA as she has totaled 26 strikeouts.

Fairfield is 9-17 overall this season with a 4-4 conference mark. The Stags went 2-2 last weekend with two wins at Quinnipiac and two losses at Manhattan.
Charli Warren and Delaney Whieldon lead the Fairfield offense. Warren is batting .370 for the season with 30 hits, a double, one triple, and five RBI in 26 starts. Whieldon has 23 total hits with four doubles, a home run, and 12 RBI in 25 starts.
