NEW YORK — The lacrosse program and Head Coach
Anne Murray have officially announced the addition of eight newcomers that will be joining the team for the upcoming 2025 season.
"This class is full of champions and players who have made significant contributions to their high school programs all four years," Murray said. "We have a group of leaders with plenty of recognition to their names. However, it is their belief, their grit, and their heart that will leave an indelible impact on this program. We are excited to see how they push themselves and each of us."

Tierney Smink is a 5'6'' goalkeeper from Dedham, Massachussets out of Noble and Greenough School. While there, she was named All-Independent School League three times, amd led her school to three ISL Championships. Throughout her four years of high school serving as the goalkeeper, her team never lost a game. Off the field, she was recognized with high honors all four years of high school and was named an All-NEPSAC All-American twice.
"Tierney is light, focused, and brings a true love for the game," Murray said. "A leader in the cage, she will be a strong, explosive presence on our defensive unit."
Katelyn Lee is a 5'5'' midfielder from Jericho, New York out of Syosset High School. While there, she was named All-County twice, won the Heart and Hustle Award, and was a two-time team captain. Lee missed her senior season due to injury, but still received Scholar Athlete Unsung Hero, and Nassau County Academic All-American. Off the field, she was a National Merit Finalist, AP Scholar with Distinction, member of the High Honor Roll, and received the Presidential Award for Academic Excellence.
"Katelyn is power and poise," Murray said. "Her ability to significantly contribute on either side of the ball is going to make an impact."
Liza Brown is a 5'9'' attack from Nashville, Tennessee out of Harpeth Hall School. While there, she was named All-Region and All-State in both 2022 and 2024. She all was recognized with All-Academic and All-American Honors in 2024. She helped lead her team to being Tennessee Girls Lacrosse State Runner Up 2021, and then Tennessee Girls Lacrosse State Champions 2022, 2023, 2024. Brown was a Tennessee Girls Lacrosse Player of the Year Nominee in 2024.
"Liza can handle the ball and finish," Murray said. "She is strong on the draw and will be a great presence for us in the attack."
Lila Wittemyer is a 5'8'' defender from Denver, Colorado out of Kent Denver School. While there she ws named First Team All-State and All-League in 2024, this after bbeing named a 2023 US Lacrosse Academic All-American in 2023, and First Team All-League and Honorable Mention All-State in 2022. Wittemyer was also named the team's 2023 defensive MVP. Off the field, she was named a National Merit Finalist, was the winner of the Anne Sayre Taggart '72 Award in Science, the winner of The Hilary H. Carlson Prize for Scholarship, and was named an AP Scholar with Distinction.
"Lila's athleticism is undeniable," Murray said. "Her balanced play will certainly fit well with our defensive systems."
Kate Quigley is a 5'5'' midfielder from Atlanta, Georgia out of the Westminster Schools. While there, she received Academic All-American honors in 2024, and was named to Under Armour All-America Team South. Quigley was named All-State all four years at Westminster.
"Kate has vision and finesse that is going to enhance how we play all over the field," Murray said."
Maddie Brogan is a 5'2'' attack from West Windsor, New Jersey out of The Lawrenceville School. While there, Brogan was named to the All-Prep First Team in 2024, as well as MAPL All-League and All-Area. She was also a member of the All-Prep Second Team in 2022.
"Maddie's quickness and power make her a true threat on the offensive end," Murray said. "She is a shooter who never backs down."
Eliza Ekstrand is a 5'7'' attack from Durham, North Carolina out of St. Paul's School. While there, she was the team leader in assists and and helped lead St. Paul's to four consecutive conference championships and was a coaches award recipient. Ekstrand played club lacrosse for the Carolina Fever, where she was the winner of the Fever Founder's Award Scholarship which recognizes the players who, in the estimation of the coaches, embody the unselfishness, respect for others, and love of the game displayed by Fever's founders.
"Eliza is heart and hustle," Murray said. "She has great vision and distributes the ball well on offense."
Kate McConnachie is a 5'9'' defender from Cold Spring Harbor, New York out of St. Anthony's High School. While there, she helped lead St. Anthony's to four consecutive catholic league state championships and the Nassau Regional semifinals. McConnachie was also a Nassau Regional All-Star game qualifier. Off the field, she was a recpient of the Nathaniel Bacon Science Scholars Award, and won the Toshiba Exploravision Top 10% Award in 2021.
"Kate's dynamic and physical play as a defender will surely add a boost on the defensive side," Murray said. "She is fast, scrappy, and a formidable player."
