The senior's defensive effort helped lead the Lions to 11-10 win over Harvard in overtime
PRINCETON, N.J. — Columbia lacrosse's senior midfielder Cordelia Flemming was named the Ivy League Defensive Player of the Week for games played April 20-26. The league office announced its weekly selections on Monday afternoon.
Flemming delivered a complete performance in Columbia's 11-10 overtime win over Harvard, recording two ground balls, two caused turnovers, and four draw controls and anchoring an incredible team defensive effort. Her presence on both ends of the field helped the Lions win key possession battles and contributed the program's most significant victory in the Anne Murray era.
Flemming is the second Lion to earn an Ivy League player of the week accolade this season, joining Michelle Zhai who was named Offensive Player of the Week on February 16. Prior to this duo, the last weekly award won by a Columbia payer came from Lindsey Ewertsen all the way back in 2019 when she helped lead the Lions to a 13-7 win over UConn with a career-best eight points.

The Lions' 2026 season came to an end after Saturday's game. Flemming finished her career with 128 career draw controls which ranks fifth all-time.
