
Lacrosse Hosts Harvard in Final Game of 2026 Season

LAST TIME OUT
In their final road game of 2026, the Lions dropped an Ivy League contest to Dartmouth, 19-9, last Saturday afternoon at Scully-Fahey Field.
Anna Becker led the Lions offensively with four goals and one assist for a five-point performance. Emma Row added two goals, while Cecelia Messner recorded a goal and two assists. Michelle Zhai and Cordelia Flemming each added a goal in the loss.
In goal, Ava Kimche made nine saves in 54 minutes of action, while Katherine Ebeling recorded two saves in relief.
Dartmouth held advantages in shots (37-23) and draw controls (16-14), while Columbia finished 13-of-16 on clear attempts.
SCOUTING HARVARD
The Crimson enter Saturday's contest sporting a 6-8 record in 2026, and 1-5 mark in Ivy League action. Harvard's Ivy win came over Brown, 12-9. The Crimson also have a win over No. 12 Duke, and lost by just one goal to No. 5 Yale.
Last season, Harvard finished 9-6 overall with a 3-4 record in conference play. In last year's matchup with the Lions, the Crimson won 18-4 at Jordan Field.
Charlotte Hodgson leads the team with 44 goals, while Callie Batchelder has a team-high 37 assists and 62 points. Lexie Koch has collected a team best 79 draw controls. Goalkeeper Emma Barkauskas has 69 saves and a 5-4 record.
SENIOR SEND OFF
Columbia's five seniors, Riya Batra, Serena Hong, Ali Surace, Cordelia Flemming, and Cecelia Messner, will be playing in the final game of their Columbia careers tomorrow. As a group, they have combined for over 165 goals, 75 assists, 220 ground balls, 105 caused turnovers, and 170 draw controls.
Messner is having the best season of her career, currently third in the Ivy League in points (60) and fourth in assists (31). For her career, she currently sits sixth all-time with 109 career goals, needing three more in the finale to crack the top five. She is also fifth all-time with 60 career assists, needing two more to finish fourth. Her 169 points is also fifth all-time, and will finish fourth with five more points in her final game. Just one more assist tomorrow and she will have the second most assists in a single season in program history, and two more points will move her into the top three.
Flemming's 124 career draw controls ranks fifth all-time.
