NEW YORK — Columbia baseball is set to host Manhattan on Wednesday from Robertson Field at Satow Stadium. First pitch is set for 3:30 p.m.
After taking the conference opening series against Harvard over the weekend, Columbia is now 52-10 at home since the beginning of 2022. Wednesday's game between the Lions (4-12, 2-1) and Jaspers (8-12, 3-6) can be followed via live stats or watched live on ESPN+.
Last time out
After dropping the opener despite a nine-strikeout outing from Alex Sotiropoulos, the Lions fell in game one, 4-1. Columbia responded with a behind Jackson Brewer's two-run homer in the first inning, a 4-for-4 performance from Anthony Temesvary and strong work out of to earn a 5-3 win in game two.
Columbia carried that momentum into the series finale, as Brewer's three-run homer and a dominant outing from Thomas Santana on the mound powered the Lions to a 2-1 start in conference play.
